New Moon, New You
The new moon is a time for new beginnings. There was a buildup of energy that culminated for many during the full moon in Taurus on October 24th so this new moon will likely help alleviate some of that pressure many of us felt. But, not without some deep diving.
The New Moon is perfect for:
- Setting new intentions.
- Starting new projects.
- Revisiting an old goal and revise your plan to accomplish it.
For the past 2 weeks since the full moon, we have been going dark. Meaning that as the moon becomes less and less illuminated our shadow selves can become more present. Old wounds, patterns, habits, and limiting thought-processes can resurface but this is to help us transmute this energy once and for all. Now that the moon will be becoming more full and more illuminated we are given the opportunity to move past this shadow self once and for all. Odds are during the full moon, and the few weeks following it, you were faced with parts of you that have been kept hidden and now it is time to release them and become a new version of yourself. It is a really good time to start taking action and continuing to do so for the next 2 weeks leading to the next full moon.
Think, as the moon becomes more full (waxing) you get a fresh start, can begin again, and try new things. As the moon becomes less full (waning) it is a good time to recollect, revisit, and recharge yourself.
A Scorpio New Moon may Intensify things
It is no secret to those who are familiar to the zodiac that Scorpio, the scorpion is a rather intense sign. But this is not a bad thing, it can be helpful to be tenacious especially when going after goals.
According to Astrostyle here are some other Scorpio Traits:
These traits may be highlighted for you as this new moon begins to light up the sky in the coming weeks. If you have Scorpio in your natal chart you will likely see these traits come through. Keep in mind there are good and bad traits to every zodiac sign but being mindful of them can help you not get overwhelmed by them. If you notice you become possessive take a step back and ask yourself, “why?” you might uncover why you are clinging so hard to something.
This water sign may make emotions run high so keep a level head and remember a deep breath before diving head first into defenses can actually go a long way.
A New Moon Highlighting Darkness?
Before you get worried about the dark coming to light remember that things are shifting at an alarming rate for many people. Sometimes confronting the dark parts of ourselves is exactly what we need to move forward.
Roya Buckland reminds us in an Elite Daily article:
Scorpio finds the idea of shunning darkness downright foolish. Why do we work so hard to deny all the pain that we’ve survived? Why do we see our shadows as weaknesses? Scorpio understands that the deepest power is rooted in your shadow. True strength never grew in an environment without strife. If you’ve got shadows, it also means you’ve got grit. It means you can overcome anything.
Why is it so difficult for us to dive into the dark parts of us that inevitably make us who we are? This new moon may push you to the point of facing your fears, your worries, your doubts, all because they are parts of you. They can help you harness an inner strength in overcoming these and this is something you may have the opportunity to do during this time.
Astrologyking notes in his article:
Jupiter quincunx Uranus creates a state of flux where you can swing between optimism and uncertainty, confidence and anxiety. A growth spurt is possible now in the physical, material and spiritual worlds. Patience, moderation and research will help you choose the best of the opportunities coming your way. So making changes to you values and morals will improve your self belief and hope for the future
There may be an internal struggle as you move through the days leading up to and during this new moon but trust that it will lead to growth and change for the better. Move through it as best you can, don’t be afraid to slow your approach to something if you need to.
Be gentle with yourself during this time. Don’t beat yourself up over the past if it resurfaces. Instead, take the time to pay attention to what is coming up and why this is a good way to move through these things. Don’t cling so tightly to what is making an exit either, while these things may make us feel secure (even if they aren’t the greatest) trust that something better is on it’s way to you. Collectively, we are leveling up and this sloughing off of old dark habits, ideas, and patterns is apart of that process. This new moon may call you to be investigative as the curious nature of Scorpio comes into play. The best thing to investigate right now is your relationship with yourself. Let this new moon energy help you hit the reset button on whatever you need to revamp or restart in your life.
